Usability Project Testimonials
The Multicom sponsored usability audit carried out in partnership with ABTECH receives great feedback for adding value to the travel industry.
CTT Group Ltd
'We recognise the importance of understanding our customer needs. We are constantly trying to adjust our site to find happy mediums for the visitors who we have taken a lot of trouble to get to our site.
We heard of the offer through ABTECH and this co-insided with us already thinking about doing something like this, but had been put off by the high costs for a small company to take on.
The problems with navigation of the site stood out. The report was what I expected, the detailed session analyse was a bonus and provided allot of useful information. Yes, it has added value and it will add more value to the business as we implement further improvements based on the reports findings.
Unfortunately, some of the things are out of our control but we realise what big issues they are and have approached suppliers to look at them, such as the way holiday pricing information is provided to us.'

Travel Editions
I had been thinking of updating our web site for a little while and when I saw the offer of a free Usability Audit it made sense to see how clients used our existing site to learn the tricks for a new site. It was well communicated and easy to register and of course FREE!
The report was very thorough and was better than expected as I was impressed by the use of a range of users to test the site, all of whom were monitored at the time of the testing. It probably hasn't added any value in the short term, as it has made me completely rebuild our site and so has in fact cost a lot of money, but I think the whole process in the long term will add great value to the business.

CO-OP Travel Ltd
We knew most of the improvements that we needed to be making to the site from our own customer feedback. However, we needed to carry out customer experience research to help us apply best practices for our web site in terms of usability and design. Our site has been improved in terms of how and what we are offering our customers which has ultimately given us higher conversions.
We were in the process of reviewing our site and the report has enabled us to base our changes to the customer experience, such as online booking, as well as changes to the look and feel on hard evidence.
Usability and customer experience is very important to us and we plan to regularly review and change our site with this in mind. Our long term strategy is to become one of the top travel sites in the UK and we understand that listening to our customers is very important in reaching this goal.

In November 2003 Symphony Candles Sturminster Newton factory was destroyed by fire leaving owner Chris Redsell to rebuild his business from scratch. Two years on and the company is thriving again, reporting a rapid growth period over the last year with 40% increase in production.

The new site has been a very effective sales tool since its launch and has put us in touch with some major retail clients" said Chris Redsell, Owner of Symphony Candles.
"We've worked with a local proactive agency called Jamber Design. They have given us a real insight into good web design, search engine optimisation and e-marketing techniques. Our business has grown as a direct result of working with Jamber" explains Redsell.
The new web site which is fully content managed enabled has been designed using CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) controlled pages. These features give both Web site developers and users more control over how pages are displayed, improving Accessibility and Search Engine Optimisation at the same time.
