A husband-and-wife team, changing the world one cup at a time

Husband-and-wife team, changing the world one cup at a time

Together...

Husband-and-wife duo, Allen and Diana Arseneau, started Jamber to make the world a better place. When not running the company, they are busy raising their two children (11 years and 5 months) and believe in discovering the magic of life - generally through camping, cooking, and nerf wars.

Allen Arseneau

Allen Arseneau , originally from Boston, has a degree in bio-chemical engineering and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Allen has worked as a process engineer in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.

Allen mentors a little boy in need through the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, and has had his own Big Brother for over 30 years.

Diana Arseneau

Diana Arseneau, raised in Milford, CT, has a degree in chemistry from Harvard University. She worked in clinical and business development in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, and loves talking to young girls about science.

The A-ha Moment (... Jamber Is Born)

We were having lunch with Allen’s grandfather, a former 82nd Airborne Ranger, the toughest of tough, now in an assisted living home. That day, Allen noticed his grandfather struggling to drink water from a paper cup and asked him, “Pap, if you’re having so much trouble drinking water from a paper cup, how do you drink your coffee?”

He looked at Allen very seriously and said, “It’s horrible. It really hurts.” We looked around and saw a room full of people struggling to drink coffee or tea out of cups with dinky little handles. That was the aha-moment. When we got back home we thought, “we are scientists and engineers, we can solve this problem.”

And so, we set out to help Allen's grandfather drink his coffee without pain.

What started as a project to help Allen's grandfather drink his coffee without pain became something much larger. It changed the way we think about how each of us interacts with everyday products. And so, Jamber was born.

Changing The World

It's crazy to think that something as simple as a mug can have such a big impact on your life....but it's true.

You may not know that coffee mugs haven’t changed in over 4,000 years. We’ve completely rethought the user experience of using a coffee mug from a biomechanical perspective and solved problems that you’ve probably never thought about, but that you, or at least someone you know, has experienced. Those old cups are hard to hold! (... if you can even fit your fingers in those itsy bitsy handles)

The Jamber mug changes all of this. Turns out that when a cup is easier to hold and more comfortable, we drink more. And when we are more hydrated, we are happier. And, when we are happier, we spread happiness to those around us. A more comfortable coffee mug means that we are free to enjoy life more. We can walk around the house or office without they worry of spilling. We can really hear what our friend is saying... not think about finding a place to set down our mug full of scalding hot coffee.

Those who've switched to Jamber tell us that they drink more, that their kids drink more, and that their coffee tastes better! Jamber becomes their new favorite mug. You'll have to hold one yourself to understand why so many people have become obssessed with their Jamber mugs.
